Book Blogger Hop: February 7th - February 13th

This Week's Question:

What is the highest number of books you received in one day either in the mail or from UPS or FED EX?

My Answer:

Probably five or six books. I don't really like ordering books online, I like to the bookstore and walking down the isles just admiring all of the books. And I find more interesting books that way to, when you go online you know what you want to buy and you just buy that. In the store you get to peruse and look for new things that you wouldn't have other wise found. Do you prefer shopping online or in stores? Because there's definitely benefits to both of them.

Book Blogger Hop: January 31st - February 6th

This Week's Question:

When you receive new books in the mail, do the older ones get moved to the bottom of your list or do go strictly "by the book" and keep your list with older books first and then the new ones?

My Answer:

When I receive new books I will be more likely to read them than books I already own, just because they're new and fresh in my mind. But it also depends. If there's a book I really want to read, I'll read it even if I just got a bunch of new books. Do you do that too, or am I the only one who does that? I try to read books as I buy them though, so I don't end up with a huge shelf of books that I haven't read...

Yea, that doesn't really work very well... I have lots of books that I need to read.

That's all for today, Happy Reading!

Book Blogger Hop: January 24th-30th

I'm back to the Book Blogger Hop scene! I was checking my e-mails and this post came up and I really liked the question. I really hope to start doing this hop more regularly because it's a lot of fun. Without further ado, here's this weeks question:

Do you think you will ever read every book in your TBR stack?

My answer:

I like to think that I'll read every book in my TBR stack, and I really hope I do. I honestly think I will read all the books that I actually own, maybe not all of the ones I find on GoodReads and don't buy for years. There are just so many good books out there, and I tend to buy lots of them. I have quite a few from elementary school book fairs that I have yet to read... maybe I'll get to those soon.

What books do you guys have on your TBR shelf that you think you'll never get to but really want to? Do you guys have TBR shelves, or are your books just scattered everywhere like me? Ah, Bookish thoughts.

Book Blogger Hop: October 4th - October 10th

Welcome to the Book Blogger Hop: the weekly meme that gets bloggers hopping!  This week Halloween themed and the question is (drumroll please......):

What book gave you goosebumps?

The answer:

Two books that gave me goosebumps were Dark Secrets by Elizabeth Chandler and Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by April Genevieve Tucholke.  I read Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea much more recently and parts of it terrified me so much, but I clearly remember feeling scared while reading Dark Secrets.  I loved them both and hope I find more books like them to read in the future!

Book Blogger Hop: September 20th - 27th

Hey, I'm doing the Book Blogger Hop again this week, which is found on Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer's blog.  The hop is used by bloggers to discover new blogs and bloggers and establish new connections.  This week's question is:

What is your favorite genre? List two of your favorite books in that genre.

And ze answer is.....

My favorite genre is fantasy, because I love being taken into a world so different from the one we are in.  Two of my favorite books in this genre include:

Graceling by Kristin Cashore     and
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (I know not very original, but I love it)

That's all for now so until Tuesday, DFTBA.

Book Blogger Hop: September 13th-19th

Hey, so today I am doing the book blogger hop for this week, found on Rambings of a Coffee Addicted Writer's blog.  The goal of the hop is for bloggers to find new blogs, books, meet different bloggers, and receive new followers.  The question this week was:

Are you in a book club? How does your book club choose books? How far in advance do you choose?

And the answer is...

Yes, I am in a book club at my school so it's not too exciting.  To choose books we pull a name from a hat and that person gets to pick the book.  Once we choose the book we set a date the next month to meet and discuss.  It's pretty straightforward, but it introduced me to John Green and many other wonderful authors.

That's all I got for today, so "Gus, don't be a rabid porcupine".
